AcceptedAnswer. Blocking is only really effective against guards with light weapons (i.e. swords, daggers, hammers, etc.). Blocking is pretty much useless against the brutes and the seekers because they have the big weapons. Dodging is more effective against them. You can even dodge the seekers' sand throwing attack.
